Translation rates in Belgium — transparent pricing by document type and language pair

What determines the cost of a translation?

How much does a translation cost?

Four factors determine translation pricing: the number of source words, the language pair (rare language combinations carry a premium), the domain specialisation required (pharmaceutical and certified translation such as legal work carries a higher rate than marketing copy), and the deadline.

Standard delivery times allow the most competitive pricing; urgent and express deadlines carry a surcharge that reflects the additional resource allocation required.

the number of words to be translated
the delivery deadline
the source and target languages
the technical nature of the text
the format of the source file
potential steady flow of work

As a result, word rates range from €0.10 for very large volumes in certain languages to €0.16, with most projects priced at €0.12–€0.13 for volumes exceeding 2,000 words.

Quality translations at a competitive price

We may not be the cheapest on the market, but working with experienced translators allows us to deliver high-quality translations.

Our strength lies in speed and efficiency, delivering results that meet expectations at a price aligned with the available budget.

To provide a clear and accurate quote, please share as many details as possible regarding your requirements, including deadlines, source and target languages, document format and, of course, the text to be translated.

Specialised translations: tailored rates

In addition, the price of a translation can vary significantly depending on the subject matter. The more specific and technical the field, the higher the rate. In such cases, it is necessary to work with translators who specialise in the sector covered by the documents.

They will rely on their expertise while also carrying out terminology work. As a result, translating an article on infrared imaging will cost more than translating a brochure about the best restaurants in Brussels.

Payment for translation services

Payment for services is requested within 30 days of the invoice being issued. The standard payment method is a bank transfer to the company’s account in Belgium or Spain. The rates indicated in the proposal are calculated on this basis.

Smaller projects can also be paid via PayPal or by credit card.

The translation market is projected to reach $56.5 billion by 2033

Driven by pharmaceutical, legal and technical documentation demand in multilingual markets

Investment in professional translation delivers measurable commercial returns: 65% of consumers prefer to buy in their native language, and 40% will not purchase from a website in another language, regardless of their ability to understand it.
