Sabine graduated from the University of Ghent in 1990 with a degree in Germanic philology (Dutch/English), and immediately began her career with a major Belgian telecommunications company. She stayed for over ten years as a sales assistant in a multilingual environment. Fluent in English, French and German, she also speaks a little Swedish and Italian.

Her love for languages and translation was never far away, however, and in 2007 she decided to work part-time as a freelance translator. Her professionalism resulted in a large volume of work, and in 2011 she took the step of making translation her primary activity.

She translates English and French to Dutch, specialising in fashion, lifestyle, tourism, gastronomy and commercial and literary translations.
